P.E. Teachers + Elementary School Kids + Dance + Music = The Ultimate Pop-Up Flash Mob Event!

Dancin' on the Downtown is BACK for 2023 with a new, fresh, funky, and FUN dance routine!

Like last year, we've created step-by-step tutorials to help you learn the routine and prepare you for our big performance date on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall on May 19!

This event is open to ALL Charlottesville area students and teachers (public, private, homeschool!) and families!

New to DoD?

Dancin’ on the Downtown is a FREE event led by Camp4Real founder and experienced physical educator, Scott Williams, and Kim Gentry, P.E., and Health Teacher at Scottsville Elementary, with the goal to bring the fun and excitement of the flash mob experience to elementary-aged students (and their families!) throughout the Charlottesville community.

Event Details

WHO: Any kids up to age 14! (Public, private, and homeschooled!)
WHAT: Group Flash Mob! Dance with us down the mall AND on the Pavillion stage between acts during Friday’s After 5!
WHEN: Friday, May 19 | 5:30 PM
WHERE: Meetup location is Botanical Restaurant (located on the Downtown Mall, near the Market Street Parking Garage)
WHY: Have fun, enjoy dancing, and create opportunities for community connection!
